When and where is Badgerfest? And, what’s with all the Badgers? Get all the answers to your questions about the 2018 festival in Bristol.

Badgerfest opens at 11am on Friday 21st September, the first band will start at 2pm.

On Saturday the music starts again at noon.

The site will close at 11:00am on Sunday 23rd September 2018.

Saturday day tickets will be valid from 10am.

Badgerfest will be held in a giant industrial barn in Easter Compton, Bristol, just minutes from Jct 17 of the M5 (near Cribbs Causeway – postcode BS35 5RE).

The festival has a fully licensed bar and catering, there is also a farm shop and cafe on site selling all manner of delicious food, including a a next-level fry up for the morning after, and drinks for you to enjoy over the weekend.

The bars on site are well stocked with real ales, local ciders and all the usual other offerings. There will also be plenty of food options on offer, all sourced and supplied by the on-site farm shop, should you feel the need to soak up the drink. They even do an amazing fry up in the on-site farm shop for the morning after.

The locals are a friendly bunch (please be nice to them) and have allowed us plenty of space for camping, campervans, car parking, bus manoeuvring. We encourage car-sharing and will set up a thread on the facebook page so you can hook up with other local badgers to make your way to the site together.

The nearest bus station is at 10 minutes away at The Mall (Cribbs Causeway). Buses from all over Bristol and the surrounding aeas run into The Mall Bus station. The 623 bus to Severn Beach runs from The Mall bus station and drops off near to the site. There are lots of local taxi services that operate in the area – Euro Taxis, South Glos Taxis 0117 969 6799, T4 Taxis 0117 965 7272, Z Cars 0117 950 0600, Bristol Parkway taxis 0117 254 1111. If you are pre-booking taxis home (advised), just tell them Washingpool Farm. There will be an official taxi pick-up-point set up in the car park.

We love to encourage future festival go-ers therefore there will be bouncy castles, face painting and plenty of things to keep the little ones engaged!

Yes - but its free!

Under-16s go free at Badgerfest, but must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. The zero-priced U16 tickets are available from our ticket page at Brown Paper Tickets. Please book a ticket for your child as this means we can keep track of overall numbers.

Unfortunately we don’t have a glamping option however there will be proper toilets as well as standard-issue portaloos (but no showers). If you really don’t want to camp then there are a number of reasonably priced hotels very close by, such as Travelodge Cribbs Causeway, Premier Inn Cribbs Causeway, Travelodge Filton, Lodge at Bristol.

We want as many people to come to Badgerfest as possible, raising money for a good cause along the way, so we have made the tickets as affordable as we can. Weekend tickets include camping - no separate campervan passes are required. You will also be able to camp as many friends around you as you like, space permitting (so get there early!).

A reasonable amount of alcohol (please be sensible, badgers!) will be permitted to be brought onto your camping area. Please note however that this is a charity event and bar proceeds will be supporting the charity, therefore be generous and drink for charity!

Please don’t bring glass bottles onto the site.

Yes, the site is very flat and we there will be a disabled parking/camping area and disabled toilet facilities.

There will be an official campfire, curated by our 'Chief Fire Master', Mr Chris Carree, which will be big enough for all campers to bask in the warmth, mingle and sip minesweeper beers collected from the barn! Please do not start your own fires, firepits or BBQs.

Unfortunately there will not be a cash point on site however the bars will accept cards and the farm shop also does cash back (open 08:00 - 16:00 on Friday and Saturday).

The Badgerfest stages are indoors and therefore completely weatherproof, providing shelter from the rain and (hopefully) some shade from the sun.

The Magic Teapot will also provide a warm, dry space in Larry's field for a natter and a jam after the bars have shut!
